Stock the Stock,a live stock trading competition where the smart-witted minds compete against each other to design the most valuable portfolio from the provided stocks through excessive bidding.


Decrypt is the case study competition wherein you are given a start-up case/crisis and you step into the shoes of a founding member to present and defend your solution.

Pitch Ur Product

Pitch Ur Product is organized with the aim to provide participants with an opportunity to present their innovation or innovative idea (e.g. summer project or any other such research work) wrapped up as a potential working startup in future.This event examines the ability of the participants to evaluate the market, the customer needs and their distribution strategy for a product they have already prototyped.

Upstart Biz

An event that caters to the startups of Kanpur and neighbouring cities, Upstart - Our highlight - stands apartfrom the conventional Start-up Competition and 10-minute pitching; we strive to give our participants more than just the prize. The start-ups go through multiple rounds of screening, which are essentially brainstorming sessions at different levels. Finalists get to develop their ideas and hone their business plans with a panel of mentors.

  • If you are a non IITK student and if you are not looking for an accomodation at IIT Kanpur during eSummit'16, your registration procedure will be complete once you pay a nominal fee of INR 400 through our payment portal.
  • If you are a non IITK student and if you are planning to come to IIT Kanpur, we will provide you with both accomodation and food during eSummit'16. You'll have to pay a fee of INR 1000 through our payment portal to complete the registration process.

FAQS / find your answers

Nope. The online registration is not chargeable but you'll need to pay ₹800 as basic food and accommodation charges, upon your arrival here. Beyond that, there are no specific event charges for any of our events or talks (including Workshops).

IIT Kanpur is reachable by Rail, Road and Air. You may choose to:

Take a train to Kanpur Central Railway Station (CNB). There are plenty of conveyance options available from the station to campus. We'll have a bus service at regular intervals (at ₹25) whose schedule will be intimated to you. If you don't want to wait for the next bus, you can take a Vikram or Auto to the campus (costs about ₹20 or ₹200 respectively). Or you can always go for an Ola Cab (at around ₹225-300).

Take a Bus ride to Kanpur. The conveyance from the Kanpur Bus Stand is again through a Vikram or an Auto (costs ₹20 or ₹200 respectively). Alternatively, you can call an Ola (costs around ₹225-300). Your own car is also welcome if you stay nearby!

Fly in to Lucknow International Airport (LKO) and take up a taxi to reach IITK Campus directly (A taxi costs around ₹1,550). Ofcourse, there are other hectic ways as well, but this is the fastest one!

Once you reach IIT Kanpur, the first thing you do is Report & Register at the Hospitality Desk. Here at the hospitality desk, you'll need the following for hassle-free registration:

Your College ID-card.

No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by your college administration.

Proof of Registration fee payment if you have paid online (Hardcopy of the Receipt generated).

₹200 in cash as Security Deposit, which will be refunded when you are leaving the campus.

Accommodation will be provided by us from the morning of 26th August 2016 till the afternoon of 29st August 2016, at par with that of IITK students. Participants arriving before that can stay in hotels outside IIT Kanpur. Mattresses will be provided to all participants, however you'll have to bring your own blankets.
